Today at the ordinary September plenary session, it was unanimously approved to renew the concession to the Andalusian Employment Service (SAE) of the building located at Calle Santo Domingo number 7 in Benalmádena Pueblo, where La Fonda Hotel and Catering School is located. 

"We are fortunate that such a prestigious hotel school as La Fonda is located in Benalmádena, and for this reason the municipal government has worked very hard to ensure that it remains here," said the Mayor of Benalmádena, Víctor Navas. "It is one of the most important hotel and catering schools in Andalusia, with a job placement rate that is close to 100%, in which great professionals are trained every year, both in the dining room and in the kitchen," said Navas. 

"On behalf of the Benalmádena Town Hall we maintain close collaboration with the SAE, the entity responsible for its management, and therefore today we wanted to bring to the plenary session for approval the modification of the concession so that it is no longer in the hands of the extinct consortium of the hotel school and passes to the SAE itself, and thus guarantee and consolidate the continuity of La Fonda in the town," said the mayor. 

"For this transfer, and at the request of the SAE itself, the legal instrument chosen was the external demanial mutation for a period of ten years," said the councillor for General Administration, Sergio Torralvo.
