The Captaincy building of the Benalmadena Marina hosted the signing ceremony of the collaboration and sponsorship agreements between the municipal company of the Benalmadena marina with the Club de Fútbol Atlético Benamiel, the Club Hockey Benalmádena, the windsurfer Alfonso Benito Raya and the athlete Rubén Heemskerk.

The signing ceremony of these agreements to promote local elite sportsmen and women was attended by Manuel J. Jiménez, manager of the Port and the representatives of the sponsored entities and sportsmen and women who took the opportunity to thank the port entity for its support.

The Councillor for the Port, Encarnación Cortés, reaffirmed the commitment of the government team to local elite sport: "The continuity and extension of this sponsorship campaign once again strengthens the union between the Port and the sportsmen and women of Benalmádena, whom we support in their efforts to constantly improve and search for maximum performance".

For his part, Manuel J. Jiménez, manager of the Port, emphasised that for the first time the Port is sponsoring a sportsman, specifically Alfonso Benito Raya, on the occasion of his attendance at the Windsurfing World Championship to be held in Cyprus.

Thus, the new sponsors are the Benamiel Athletic Club, represented by Elías Zajdner Gallego, its president, and Miguel Delgado, responsible for Marketing; the Benalmádena Hockey Club, who was represented by its secretary, Diego Gavilán; the windsurfer Antonio Benito Raya, accompanied by his mother Mabel Raya as he is a minor; and the ultra long-distance runner Rubén Heemskerk Herrero.
